La Félíbrée 2023 takes place in Montignac-Lascaux this weekend!

La Félibrée is a celebration of the old Occitan culture and language in the Périgord. Each year it takes place during the first weekend in July in a different town in the Périgord region and attracts thousands of people. This weekend is Montignac’s turn where the streets will be decorated with flower garlands and filled with traditional music, dance, demonstrations of local customs, crafts and cooking.

If you are curious about the Occitan cuisine then La Taulada is a traditional, gastronomic ritual which takes place at la salle des fêtes on Sunday afternoon after the procession through the streets. Reservation required ( or at the Félibrée shop in town on Friday or Saturday).
